EQ2|Erste Statistiken zu Station Exchange

In einer Presseerklärung von SOE wurden die ersten Statistiken zu der Online-Auktionsplattform Station Exchange (Laufzeit bereits mehr als 30 Tage) bekannt gegeben. Station Exchange bietet den Spielern auf 2 von 56 EQ2 Servern die Möglichkeit für reales Geld virtuelle Gegenstände zu erwerben. Insgesamt wurde dieser neue Service von Rund 45.000 Spielern wahr genommen und der Gesamtbetrag der Auktionen beläuft sich auf 180.000 US Dollar. Die höchsten Auktionen wurden mit 2.000 US Dollar (momentan maximal erreichbarer Geldwert) für je einen Level 50 Charakter abgeschlossen.

Sony Online Entertainment's Station Exchange has been live for a little over 30 days (it was officially activated on July 19, 2005). Station Exchange allows SOE subscribers to buy and sell the rights to use characters, items and coin through a secure, official online auction site. The service is currently only available in EverQuest II and is right now only activated on two of the 56 EQII servers, The Bazaar and Shadowhaven.
The following is some data that we've collected from Station Exchange activities after its first month.
* In the first month, over 45,000 characters have been active on the two Station Exchange EverQuest II servers
* Station Exchange participants have spent almost 0,000 in auctions in the first 30 days
* Nearly ,000 in characters, almost ,000 in items and close to ,000 in coin.
* On the average for the first month, those players actively participating in Station Exchange are spending over per person
* Over half the items listed end up selling
* The recent average value of 1 platinum piece is above
* Almost 60% of all items for sale list for or less
* Over 50% of purchasers are buying their virtual goods as an instant purchase vs. a timed auction. Characters and items are more likely to be impulse purchases, while players tend are more conservative with coin
* The highest price character (Iksar Lvl 50 Fury/ level 50 Sage) sold to date went for comment_text,000, which is currently the dollar cap on Station Exchange
* Average character price is 5, with the median being 0
· Of characters sold:
o 29% are Fighter archetype
o 27% are Priest archetype
o 25% are Mage
o 17% are Scout
* The biggest "power user" on Station Exchange spent more than 00 in the first month of service
